It's time to break out the four-leaf clovers, kiss the Blarney Stone and guzzle green beer for St. Patrick's Day. But Los Angeles-area lesbians always have the luck of the Irish on their side since they're never at a loss for something to do. This March, WeHo ladies, Silver Lake sirens and Valley girls alike are blessed with hot lesbian events happening right in their backyard.

Chicks Behaving Badly

Leather bars aren't just for the big boys anymore. Get down ‘n’ dirty every Wednesday with Shotgun at Eagle L.A., the area’s premier leather bar. Whether you’re dancing, wielding a pool cue or swilling $1.50 domestic beer, Shotgun’s the anti-WeHo scene for the Silver Lake lesbian set. Don’t miss the first Wednesday of every month for Gendronaut, where anyone’s welcome to perform one minute of music, dancing, lip-synching for the chance to steal a $50 cash prize. Eagle L.A., 4219 Santa Monica Blvd., Silver Lake. www.eaglela.com/shotgun.html

Menage-a-Ha!

What better way to relieve tension than laughing your head off at a side-splitting, tears-rolling-down-the-cheek evening of Queer on Their Feet? The show, which takes place March 5 at 8 p.m., will feature comedic trio Jennie McNulty, Erin Foley and Jason Dudley presiding over some of L.A.’s hottest up-and-coming comedians—billed as “gay, straight, bi or simply mysterious.” Hollywood Improv, 8162 Melrose Ave., WeHo. www.myspace.com/queerontheirfeet

Blast from the Past

This isn’t your mother’s puppet show! Susan Simpson chronicles L.A.’s gay history with her wildly unique puppet show, Concrete Folk Variations, Chapter One: Death of a Sugar Daddy. The show, a “steely Sapphic noir,” makes use of intricately crafted puppets, projections and a minimalist mid-century L.A. cityscape to tell its compelling story. The show plays at the Manual Archives, 3320 W. Sunset Blvd., Silver Lake. Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., and Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm, March 6-22. Tickets are $15; students and seniors pay $12. Holding Out For a Hero

Celebrate your local heroes at "Thousands of Heroes, One Super Night," the 15th annual Los Angeles Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner. Break out your best dress and heels or your finest pin-striped suit and rub elbows with the best-dressed gays in Hollywood to help HRC honor local hero Andrea Meyerson, filmmaker, event producer and founder of Women on a Roll. HRC will also honor the Bravo network, the Point Foundation and smokin' lesbian chef Cat Cora of Iron Chef America. Tickets are steep for the average-income gal, but it’s supporting a great cause. The Wheel World

Roller derby queens and Xanadu lovers alike can make up for all those straight couples’ skates you sat out on as a kid. Grab your girl’s hand and go wild at Gay Roller Skating at Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale. Gay girls and gay boys are all welcome to strap on a pair of skates and pretend you're Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci making out to Journey's “Don't Stop Believin” every Wednesday. Break out your skate key Wednesdays from 8-11 p.m. at Moonlight Rollerway, 5110 San Fernando Rd., Glendale. $10 plus skate rental. www.tinyurl.com/3bnbwn
