The Dinah Shore Weekend has come and gone, but April continues to heat up for So-Cal gay women. From the desert to Long Beach, San Diego to the heart of WeHo, lesbian life is in full-bloom this month.

Press Your Luck

Bingo isn’t just for the little old lady from Pasadena anymore—and it’s not only for the boys either. Bingo cards, blotters, plenty of prizes and celebrity callers abound every Wednesday at super-gay eatery, Hamburger Mary’s. Never has “I-69” sounded as good as when it’s the winning number on the Bingo card. And proceeds benefit a local charity. Help support the LGBT press April 16 when the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association of Los Angeles hosts. Hamburger Mary’s, 8288 Santa Monica Blvd., WeHo. www.hamburgermarysweho.com

Even Cowgirls Get to Shmooze

Break out the cowboy boots and big belt buckles and mosey on down to Debra’s, for Club Ripple’s kickin’ ladies’ night. Hold on to your hats because there’s country line dancing from 7-10 p.m. with DJ Ballerina. Impress that special someone and learn to two-step, waltz and line dance. But stick around because, after a warm-up with country dances, there’s a chance to win some real cash shaking your tail at Belia’s Booty Bounce. If dancing your backside off for money isn’t your thing, just sit back and enjoy the view. Debra’s offers up line dancing every Friday, but check out the Booty Bounce contest April 18. Swingers Party

Get teed off in the desert at the Rainbow Challenge Golf Tournament held at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage. Gay girls in golfer gear are always a treat to behold! Home course for LPGA players Amy Alcott, Sherri Steinhauer and Liselotte Neumann, the Mission Hills Country Club has golf history on its side. Day one of the challenge tees off on the infamous Dinah Shore Tournament Course. An awards ceremony and barbecue cap off the two-day event. Mission Hills Country Club, 34-600 Mission Hills Dr., Rancho Mirage. www.rainbowchallenge.com

Voices Carry

Feed your big brain at the Human Rights Campaign’s Talkin Q’ Politics on April 22 at 6:30 p.m., with this month’s special speaker, Christine Paule Pelosi. It’s an opportunity to rub elbows with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s equally impressive daughter. Author of Campaign Boot Camp: Basic Training for Future Leaders, Pelosi will weigh in on a host of issues, including the Democratic presidential race, the need to win congressional seats and topics pertaining to the LGBT community. East/West Lounge, 8851 Santa Monica Blvd., WeHo. www.la.hrc.org

Behind Every Great Man …

… is a great woman, especially at the S.D. Kings’ Club Revue. San Diego’s own drag king club crowns new kings Whiskey Dick and Smokey Gonzalez with a full-on revue at Bacchus House. The evening promises plenty of spiffy outfits, well-placed soul patches and smooth moves from So Cal’s premier drag kings. This isn’t your mother’s drag show—these kings know how to make the ladies swoon. Feast your eyes on the studly kings Tuesday, April 29, at 10 p.m. Bacchus House, 3054 University Ave., San Diego. www.sdkingsclub.com
