What's the deal with all the porn boys in wings lately? Two of the hottest videos out recently have beautiful sexy men bathed in feathery wings. The gorgeous blond Brad Patton is purely angelic with his baby blue eyes in Chi Chi LaRue's Heaven to Hell for Falcon. He's pierced by a red arrow in this surreal costume porn, and horned and horny Josh Weston pulls it out, so Brad ends up falling for a man from down under. Their orgy that follows turns the virtuous twink into an all-out sex pig. It's nice to see LaRue doing a costume epic again -- that's a director who knows how to work the lads with costumes: horns, tattoos, wings and all.

Bradley Picklesheimer, who's behind some of LaRue's best lavish parties, designed the sets for the video, and Michael Schmidt did the costumes. I saw Bradley in his/her full glory at the opening of Outfest this year and he confessed, "I haven't been out in drag like this in a long time, but this is fun!"

Then, the cover of Red Devil's Dirty Little Sins has dove wings on the backdrop of tattooed hunk Jacob Slader and a cross around his neck. He and Brad Benton, in this Jett Blakk video are perhaps the best actors in gay adult video these days. The video is amazing, but the best part of this DVD is the hysterical and revealing commentary. Better than most mainstream movie commentaries, Blakk, Benton and Slader gather to tell very funny stories as they watch themselves jack off. "I don't like to be by myself, this is the first solo scene I've ever done on camera," Benton says. "I had too much lip gloss." Then, he details his odd jerk, which he does holding his hand upside down, often baffling the cameramen when they're going for the money shot.

Sometimes these DVD commentaries offer too much information -- like that chicken pox scar on Jacob's beautiful body and how Jason Ridge gives incredible two-hour blow jobs. Also, both of the actors agree that Nick Capra and Rod Berry are the biggest talkers during sex in the industry -- and sometimes that's not a good thing. Dillon Press, who is a bald Daddy Warbucks-like hunk, replaced Doug Jeffries, who was supposed to star in the film but had to back out at the last minute. The video is worth it, if only for the first full gay sex scene by Chet White, who has only done bi videos before this. Look for biblical references by Blakk's clever writing, such as Dean Levitt (Leviticus) and Jonah going to Wormwood University, and much more.

How great it is to see some old faces with some of Video 10's latest DVD releases. Such classic video titles now available for the first time on disc include All the Way Inn with bubble-butt Chad Connors; Physical Education with the lanky hunk Tanner Reeves and sweet-faced Alec Powers; To the Hilt with Jeff Hammond, and House of Tricks with Vince Rockland. The directors and stories aren't worth mentioning, but the cast you certainly know!

Owen Hawk's Unleashed is his first Dark Alley title with seven studs in a dark alley. The young new upstart who won best newcomer at the GayVNs due to BuckleRoos last year now has his own company, where he is the casting and promo director. Owen says he's particularly fond of Jason Tiya in the video, and he has certainly got an eye for new talent!

Michael Lucas has dubbed himself the new "Barbra Streisand of porn" and he's taken to task in a blog war at GayPornBlog.com. It's pretty funny, but it doesn't change Lucas' best product ever, Dangerous Liaisons, with a superb story, good music, fantastic acting and a party scene that includes Michael Musto, RuPaul, and Boy George.

The new mainstream Lions Gate film Happy Endings (now in theaters), which stars Lisa Kudrow and Tom Arnold, has LaRue's Rascal Videos shown in a snippet in the movie by openly gay director Don Roos. Long known to be the Google of gay info, the Junction not only refuses to pay money owed to the gay magazine, but won't even explain what they deem obscene. "They're obviously going after the little guy because they think we won't fight back," said Cybersocket publisher Morgan Sommer. "One wonders if they make a pattern of kicking off smaller sites to pocket money that should be paid out." Morgan vows to fight! After nine years, Cybersocket won't go away. Go get 'em!
