Alex, I love your accent. Where are you from
originally?
I'm from France. I lived in Paris for eight years.
I was born on the east side of France,
near Germany, and moved to Paris eight years ago.
Why did you move here?
I came to Los Angeles because I met someone online. [Both
laugh.] I came to visit him six months ago and I loved
the city so I decided to do something here. I applied to
a school and I'm here.
Hold on. I want to make sure I've got this right.
You were in Paris, met a guy online and came to meet him
in Los Angeles? I usually don't leave my neighborhood
for Internet dates. Had you met him before you came here?
No. I came here before not just to see him. I had friends
here. I was in Los Angeles for just a few days and so I decided
to meet him. Then I fell in love with the city and decided
to move here.
How do you find American guys compare to French guys?
I've always been attracted to American guys. My ex-boyfriend
was an American from New York, but I met him in Paris. I
just prefer the mentality of the American people. It's
not a physical thing. American people are more positive minded.
Was it difficult to get acclimated to L.A.?
No, it wasn't difficult. Look, the weather is beautiful.
It was only weird for me because in Paris you go out to dinner
late. You wake up late in the morning.
What do you do for a living?
Right now I'm in acting school. In France I was a
TV producer.
Were you also an actor in France?
I did some commercials. I was very busy with my producing
job. I worked on a TV show on the biggest channel in Europe,
the TF-1 network. I was busy with that the last few years.
I decided to quit my job and come here and start again.
Was it a good decision? Are you happy here?
I'm very happy here. In France I had a very successful
career at my age -- I'm 27Ñand all my dreams
came true. That's why I'm here now. I want
to do some acting.
And what about the guy you met on the Internet? Do you keep
in touch with him?
We're still boyfriends. |
