Into the Groove

By Paul V.

Courtney Love made progress in her rehab sentence, and she's now admitted to an outpatient program instead of being trapped at a residential treatment facility. Love, who violated her probation in June, was sent back for a six-month sentence in September. She's allowed to be at home, but can only leave for court-approved reasons. Courtney told The UK's Guardian that she's spent some of her downtime working on music she dubbed "The Rehab Demos," with tracks like "The Depths Of My Despair," and "How Dirty Girls Get Clean." A hopefully still-clean Courtney returns to court in January ... Queens Of The Stone Age singer Josh Homme has snagged Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and singer Peaches for his next Desert Sessions project. Homme recently worked with Peaches on a track for her next album ... Despite years of retirement rumors, The Cure continue to churn out new music. Robert Smith and crew return to the studio in January for a summer 2006 release. Smith is also assembling a concert DVD and compiling music for the next batch of Cure re-issues due next spring ... Twisted Sister recently performed in Brighton, England, and front man Dee Snider gave a shout-out to the crowd. "The balcony is where all the real sick motherf**kers are. They can't even stand up by show time. Let's have the house lights up to see them!" he exclaimed. The lights went up, and the band and audience found themselves looking back at the disabled section of the crowd -- full of fans in wheelchairs! Oops. ... Congrats to Christina Aguilera and her new hubby, record exec Jordan Bratman, and there's wedding buzz brewing about Diana Ross, who's reportedly dating actor -- and Angelina Jolie's estranged dad -- Jon Voight ... When Madonna performed on German TV show Wetten, dass..?, she refused to use their toilets. Producers had to use a crane to hoist in Madge's own personal 18-square-foot luxury loo, complete with two washbasins, halogen lighting, two showers, and a separate toilet room. The price tag? About $5,000. FYI -- Green Day and Shakira were also on the show but they used the normal crappers ... And finally, let it be known that size matters to Enrique Iglesias. The Spanish singer enjoys a high profile relationship with tennis beauty Anna Kournikova and is lusted after by fans around the world. But this statement might throw a few off his scent: "The next product I'm going to put my name on is extra-small condoms. I can never find extra-small condoms and I know it's really embarrassing for people." Our condolences, E-man.
