What to look forward to in the cumming New Year:

It's nice to start the new year off looking back at some nostalgia. On my way back home from Florida, I found myself sitting in the same row as porn pup/musician Chris Greene, who tells me he's been teaming up with Marshall O Boy and the Well Hungarians on some sexy band gigs. The former Johnny Depp Clone was swimming with the manatees with his folks in, where else -- Homo-sassa Springs! And so, when I got home and unpacked my porn, there's a re-release of Greene's directoral masterpiece (with Kathy Mack) Outlaw Bikers starring Derek Cruise, Tanner Reeves, and Wolff!

And, IMD is re-releasing the Heathers spoof Peters masterminded by Dino Phillips, who also stars in it with Brandon Lee. It's funny and sexy, believe it or not, and the DVD has special outtakes, including a "lost" scene with J.T. Sloan. This is a chance to see sexy Nino Bacci again, the cute Canadian, who performs a mouthwatering scene with cute blond studmuffin Gage Michaels -- the kid who had every head in the porn world turning for the brief moment he was taking his clothes off in public.

And speaking of oldtimers, Vince Rockland (who can still be seen around town from time to time working out and keeping fit) headlines the re-release of IMD's Sex Pit about a back-alley sex club. It has some truly kinky sex, and the most memorable scene I remember is Sweet William being hunched over a motorcycle by Drew Andrews, and Sweet is so into it that he starts licking the mirror and chrome handlebars of the bike while getting pummeled from behind. Sweet!

Look out for German stud Nick Mazzaro at the Faultline in a rare personal appearance on March 11, and showing off at a Jimmy Z Productions Muscle Show. Nick's not known yet, but he will be after Falcon's Trapped comes out this month and Hands Solo's Rim With A View Part 2 from Not Into Bush Productions. In that one, the stud performs in his authentic cop outfit and catches a burglar (played by Mark Slade) who trips an alarm in order to purposefully snag Nick and show him the chair. It's going to be a scene that will have butts puckering.

How great it was to see the update of the gay stars in Sex/Life in LA 2 -- Cycles of Porn released just recently by TLA Releasing. Director Jochen Hick (who gives me a nice thanks at the end for putting him in touch with some of these guys) looked up his stars seven years after his first successful documentary, chronicling the lives of some very different porn stars. He followed up on Cole Tucker, living in Palm Springs as a real estate agent and reflecting on his past fame; Matt Bradshaw, whom he found living with his sister in Louisiana with a bitter feeling about the porn biz; and Kevin Kramer, working at a video store, with glamour and stars still in his eyes, and looking as cute as ever. After watching the DVD and outtakes I called Kevin to laugh about how candid his mom was in the movie, and he said, "She loved being in it. She never did get to say everything she wanted to say, though." Kevin says he's working on a deal for a big comeback project, and that we'll be the first to know.

And, speaking of sex, a book boldly calling itself The World's Best Sex Writing of 2005 includes some great gay stories from writers such as Dan Savage and there's a profile of Deep Throat star Harry Reems by IN magazine contributor Paul Fischer, also an anal sex how-to, and essays on topics like the XXXChurch and sex in Japan.
