Where are you from originally?
Bangkok, Thailand.
When did you start cooking?
I started in Thailand. I've worked in Thai restaurants
for almost 15 years.
How did you learn how to cook?
I started cooking for my family, and I took some classes
in Thailand.
Is there something you'd like to do other than being a chef?
I like to take pictures when I have time off—I'd like
to be a photographer. I like to take pictures of nature.
How do you like modeling?
I like something where I can use my talent, but am natural.
To be a model, I think it's important to be natural.
Did you get those muscles from working in the kitchen?
No, I work out five days a week.
Do you have a boyfriend?
Yes, I've been dating someone for
about a month.
If you were to prepare a romantic meal for him, what would
it be?
A good fish like a sea bass with curry sauce and vegetables.
What's sexy about your cuisine?
Thai food is really tasty, so I think sweet and sour and
a little bit spicy is sexy.
Do you think food can be an aphrodisiac?
When you like someone and you go on a date with them for
dinner and they're enjoying the good food–the taste
of the food and that you're having a meal with someone
you like—it makes your romantic side come out.
Is your cooking an expression of your love?
You put your love into it because you want to make your
food the best for people. I like seeing people taste my food,
enjoying it, and loving it. It makes me feel good about
it.
What dish in Thai cuisine best represents you?
I guess it would be our beef salad with lemon juice and
chili: sweet, sour, and spicy. |
