Looking for something to do in beautiful San Diego? You’re just in time for an array of special events! Summer is in high gear at the bars and clubs around town. Here’s your guide to where to go and who to see in San Diego as the city prepares to celebrate Pride again this year.

Friday, July 14

Saturday, July 15

The 2006 Pride Concert will take place at the newly refurbished North Park Theatre, 2891 University Ave., at 7:30 p.m. The concert features all four of San Diego’s GLBT choruses and guest group the Hillcrest Wind Ensemble. For tickets, go to www.e-ticketsnow.com.

After the concert, stop by Bacchus House, 3054 University Ave., for Coco LaChine’s “It’s Raining Men Wet Underwear Contest” at 11 p.m. This week’s guest star is Falcon Video Exclusive Derrick Vinyard. “The Spirit of Stonewall Rally” takes place in Balboa Park from 7 – 9 p.m. with special guest speakers and live entertainment. The event officially kicks off San Diego Pride weekend. For further details, visit www.sdpride.org.
