  Into The Groove

By Paul V.

The name is Goldfrapp. Alison Goldfrapp. And it looks like the UK faves might be the next artists to have a James Bond theme song, as the group is in talks with Bond musical director David Arnold to pen the title track for Casino Royale. Ooh la la!

Metallica are heading off to never-never land, lending their voices to a pair of upcoming animated projects. They'll make their first-ever guest appearance on The Simpsons for the show's season premiere Sept. 10, with all four band members lending their voices to the episode. Plus, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett are providing voices for the upcoming Cartoon Network series Death Clock Metalocalypse about a fictional heavy metal band, debuting on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim next month.

If you're heading down to San Diego next month for the always awesome Street Scene Festival, just added to the bill is Aussie buzz band Wolfmother who will rock out on Friday, Aug. 4, while The Shins will play the following day.

Pink just started filming a new horror flick called Catacombs, which she describes as “sort of a slasher-type, scary movie that's psychological and shows how mean and cruel siblings can be to each other.” Meanwhile, she joked about being "trisexual"—because she fancies everybody. The star, recently married to hunky motocross racer Carey Hart, confessed: "Most of my friends are lesbians. When I first started out, people couldn't figure out whether I was gay, straight, black, white, or whatever, and I loved that. I had a girlfriend when I was 13 and she left me for my brother! That kind of fucked me up." You go, grrrl!

RIP to dyke-centric indie faves Sleater-Kinney, who are putting their instruments away, perhaps for good. The group issued a statement announcing their “indefinite hiatus.”

Rumors are swirling about Christina Aguilera and her supposed heavy diva behavior lately. Apparently, during promo interviews she refuses to even look at the journalist, and insists that the Q&As—for which she's usually two to four hours late—take place in a dimly lit room, where she sits and stares away completely from the journalist while they ask, and she answers. Odd, indeed.

Good luck to rapper Lil' Kim, who was greeted with cheers as she walked free from her 10-month jail stay last week. Kim was visibly moved by fans' screams of support, and she showed her gratitude by blowing kisses to them. What's her first goal on the outside? Fixing her reported-to-be leaking fake boobs, which close sources claim “need service.” Who do you call for something like that? Jiffy Boob?

And finally, speaking of boobs, enjoy these two air headed comments from the Simpson sisters: "I love to kiss with my eyes open, because I can take in the entire situation and know if I'm enjoying it or not."—Jessica Simpson. And not to be outdone: "My point is that whether you have big boobs or small boobs, there are always pros and cons."—Ashlee Simpson.
